FY20 - OCTO - Brocade Switches IntraDistrict DCAS

The District of Columbia's Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is seeking procurement for Brocade Switches for the IntraDistrict DCAS (District of Columbia Administrative Services) system. This fiscal year 2020 contract opportunity focuses on acquiring network switching infrastructure, with a specific emphasis on Brocade networking equipment. The procurement appears to be a targeted technology refresh aimed at enhancing the district's internal network capabilities. The contract opportunity was posted on April 2, 2020, with a proposal submission deadline of April 15, 2020, indicating a relatively compressed timeline for potential vendors. While specific technical requirements are not fully detailed in the provided excerpt, the procurement suggests a need for sophisticated networking hardware to support the district's administrative and technological infrastructure.

The contract opportunity does not explicitly indicate set-aside designations or specific vendor restrictions based on the available information. Without additional context, it is not possible to confirm whether minority-owned, disadvantaged, or local businesses are given preferential consideration. The procurement appears to be focused on acquiring specific networking technology, which might limit the pool of potential respondents to vendors with specialized Brocade switching expertise. The contract's potential award value and budget range are not specified in the provided details. Interested vendors would likely need to demonstrate technical competence in Brocade networking solutions, familiarity with district-level administrative network requirements, and the ability to deliver and integrate the specified switching infrastructure within the district's existing technological ecosystem.
