FY18 OCME - Body Bags

The District of Columbia's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) is seeking procurement of body bags through this FY18 contract opportunity. The solicitation, posted on May 24, 2018, with a submission deadline of May 30, 2018, appears to be a targeted procurement for forensic and medical examination supplies. The contract aims to secure a reliable supply of body bags to support the medical examiner's office operations, likely for morgue and crime scene processing purposes. While specific technical specifications are not provided in the available information, the procurement suggests a need for high-quality, durable body bags that meet professional forensic and medical examination standards. The short turnaround time between posting and submission dates indicates an urgent or time-sensitive procurement process, requiring potential vendors to quickly prepare and submit their proposals.

Based on the limited information available, this contract opportunity does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific restrictions on responding organizations. The procurement appears to be open to qualified vendors capable of supplying professional-grade body bags to a government medical examiner's office. Without additional context, it is not possible to determine if there are preferences for disadvantaged business enterprises or specific vendor qualifications beyond the ability to supply appropriate medical examination body bags. The contract's budget range and potential award value are not specified in the provided documentation. Interested vendors would need to contact the District of Columbia's procurement office directly to obtain comprehensive details about the specific requirements, evaluation criteria, and potential contract value for this body bag procurement.
