About this opportunity
The Colorado Department of Human Services, Southern District office in Pueblo County, seeks competitive quotes for patient transportation equipment through a Documented Quote (DQ) procurement. The procurement requires vendors to supply one 9-passenger hard door shuttle with an electric powertrain featuring a 5.0kw DC motor, on-board charging capability, Curtis controllers, 4-wheel hydraulic brakes, maximum speed of 25 mph, and a 50-mile range, along with two 6-passenger wheelchair-accessible street legal golf cars equipped with 5.3kw DC motors, hydraulic ramps, ADA tie-downs, and comparable performance specifications. Optional add-ons for the shuttle include a heater/defroster, air blower, and roof-mounted air conditioning unit. All equipment must be new with manufacturer warranties unless otherwise specified. The quote submission deadline is October 22, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., with submissions accepted via email to jamie.gott@state.co.us, fax to 719-546-4896, or mail to the Department of Human Services Southern District Procurement office in Pueblo, Colorado. The contract will be awarded as a single vendor selection based on price as the primary consideration, supplemented by evaluation of the vendor's experience, delivery capabilities, and warranty offerings. The primary contact is Jamie Gott at 719-546-4431, and all pricing must be FOB Destination with the vendor bearing shipping costs and maintaining firm pricing for the entire 12-month contract term.
Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) registered and verified through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs may receive a 5% preference on their bid price upon submission of required certification documentation. Vendors must be registered on ColoradoVSS prior to award and cannot perform or deliver goods until a formal Purchase Order or State Contract is executed. All submissions must comply with Colorado's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which govern the contractual relationship and require vendors to maintain appropriate insurance coverage, comply with employment eligibility verification through E-Verify, and warrant non-debarment status. Payment terms are net 45 calendar days or longer from receipt of acceptable goods and a correct invoice, with interest accruing thereafter at the rate specified in CRS 24-30-202(24). The state reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities based on available funding and intends to extend pricing to other Human Services divisions if advantageous. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the solicitation documents.
