About this opportunity
Fort Valley State University is requesting proposals for design and construction of a Mobile Health & Nutrition Training Unit on a 53-foot expandable trailer, with proposals due September 27, 2022.
The unit must be a double-expandable contained design capable of towing behind the university's existing 2016 Freightliner Cascadia with sliding 5th-wheel pin. Interior configuration includes three separate rooms — a two-station demonstration kitchen, a conference room, and an office for individual counseling — with the ability to open into one large room or close off to create two or three separate areas. Total usable square footage when fully expanded is expected to be 900 to 1,000. The scope includes all kitchen appliances, conference room furniture, and office furniture; the university will provide computers and monitors separately. The unit shall support outreach programs encompassing nutritional training, farmer training, youth training, senior citizen training, and health training including telemedicine.
The eRFP incorporates mandatory requirements, mandatory scored requirements, and additional scored requirements that establish technical specifications beyond those outlined in the Statement of Work. Evaluation will apply scoring to mandatory requirements and additional requirements categories. The procurement is issued under the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.).
