Key deliverables include the complete bridge structure, encompassing the deck, railings, bearings, and design specifications for abutments. The bridge must be engineered to support a uniform live load of 85 psf, withstand a minimum wind load of 75 psf, and meet seismic load requirements. Detailed structural calculations and drawings sealed by a Pennsylvania-licensed Professional Engineer are required for review and approval. The contract opportunity does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. The procurement documents include a Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause that prohibits discrimination and requires compliance with equal opportunity employment practices. The Reciprocal Limitations Act Form indicates a preference for Pennsylvania-produced materials and services. While no incumbent vendors are mentioned, the contract requires the successful bidder to provide a color chart of available dark brown finish options and potentially submit references prior to award. The contract term runs from the date of execution through December 31, 2018, with a delivery deadline of December 14, 2018. Payment will be made on a reimbursement basis upon satisfactory delivery and approval of the pre-fabricated bridge. The Commonwealth reserves the right to request additional information, terminate the contract for convenience, or reject any bids that do not meet the specified requirements.
