About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotes on furnaces under RFQ, with quotes due September 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. local time. The state reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise specified.
In case of tied quotes, preference will be given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. All quotes must be submitted electronically. Pricing must be submitted as separate unit prices for each item, delivered to destination and inclusive of all trade or quantity discounts. Federal taxes should be excluded; Maine State Sales and Use Taxes should not be included. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, must be prepaid and borne by the contractor unless otherwise specified.
The state will make awards to the lowest responsible bidder offering the best value, with consideration given to quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and overall economy. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in determining the low bidder; discounts under 20 days will not be considered.
Bidders may submit additional and alternate bids, with supporting documentation accepted via fax or mail prior to bid opening. All vendor questions must be submitted exclusively through the Question and Answer portal on the solicitation details page within the online system; questions submitted through alternative methods will not be considered valid. Vendors are responsible for logging into the system to review all posted questions and answers, as responses will be published in that designated location.
