About this opportunity

The County of Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is seeking qualified vendors to establish Master Agreements for Fuel Dispensing and Storage Equipment Inspection, Compliance, and Repair Services through a Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ 703-SH). The procurement is for as-needed services supporting the Department's Facilities Services Bureau, focusing on comprehensive testing, inspection, certification, repair, and maintenance of underground and aboveground fuel storage tanks. To be considered, vendors must demonstrate specific qualifications, including a minimum of five years of relevant experience within the past ten years and a current Class 'A' General Engineering Contractor License from the California Contractors State License Board. Vendors are required to complete Exhibit 8 (Vendor's List of References) and Exhibit 9 (Required Licenses, Certifications, Memberships, and Permits) to verify their qualifications. The solicitation was posted on February 14, 2023, with a notable due date of January 16, 3025, though this appears to be a potential typographical error. Interested vendors must be capable of performing all services outlined in the Statement of Work attached to the Model Master Agreement.

While the solicitation does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises, the procurement appears open to qualified vendors meeting the mandatory requirements. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are specifically identified in the available documentation. The solicitation does not provide explicit details about award values or budget ranges for the fuel equipment inspection and repair services. The contract structure suggests a master agreement approach, allowing the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to engage vendors on an as-needed basis for fuel storage equipment services. Potential respondents should carefully review Attachment 1 (Statement of Work) and Appendix A (Model Master Agreement) to fully understand the scope of services and compliance requirements. The comprehensive nature of the qualifications suggests the County is seeking experienced, technically proficient contractors with demonstrated expertise in fuel storage system management and maintenance.
