About this opportunity
The state of Michigan, through the Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Bureau of Grants and Purchasing, is seeking proposals for the Families Together Building Solution (FTBS) program in Hillsdale County. The FTBS program is designed to assist families with substantiated claims of neglect or abuse through strengths-based, solution-focused intervention techniques and support services tailored to each family's needs and goals. The primary objectives are to reduce future maltreatment and prevent unnecessary placement of children in foster care, supporting the safety and well-being of these families. The contract term is for three years, from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2027, with the possibility of two additional one-year renewals. Proposals will be evaluated based on criteria such as bidder experience, staff qualifications, service delivery approach, and ability to meet performance targets, with a minimum score of 80 points required for consideration. The maximum award amount is $150,000, which includes $128,400 for services, $18,000 for transportation, and $3,600 for specific assistance.
The contract opportunity does not appear to have any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. There are also no listed incumbent vendors or current contractors, and no existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The funding for this contract is provided by the state of Michigan to support the department's goal of reducing out-of-home placements and associated trauma for children.
