About this opportunity
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, as owner on behalf of the University of Georgia, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications for landscaping services under a Public Works Standard Contract for the Fort Benning Lozada Range Erosion Landscaping project, with responses due November 23, 2026. The solicitation is a Request for Qualifications, and the source names no set-aside or preference program.
The work restores the Lozada Range, a fan-shaped small arms firing range on Frey Road and Long Branch at Fort Benning, south of Columbus, Georgia. The range is not currently in use and is planned for restoration to support increased weapons training requirements. The site has strongly acidic, sandy to sandy-clay-loam soils and deeply incised drainages flowing toward Long Branch and Wolf Creek, which define the erosion-control challenge. The full project description appears in the attached RFQ/P document. Jurisdictions listed are Muscogee County and Columbus City.
The University of Georgia will select several qualified firms, conduct interviews, rank finalists, and begin contract discussions with the selected firm or firms. Firms the Owner determines to be especially qualified may be invited to interview and submit fee proposals. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all statements of qualifications or proposals and to waive technicalities and informalities.
