About this opportunity

The Town of Frisco, Colorado, is seeking competitive proposals from mobile food vendors to operate at the Frisco Bay Marina during the summer season from Memorial Day to Labor Day 2025, with potential for extended operations. The procurement is specifically targeting up to two food truck vendors who will provide food and non-alcoholic beverages from trucks or trailers parked in a central marina location. Desired menu items include coffee, breakfast items, snacks, shareables, ice cream, and shaved ice, with a strict requirement that offerings must differ from the existing on-site restaurant, The Island Grill. Proposals are due by 12:00pm MST on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, with vendor interviews planned for the week of May 12, 2025, and potential contract approval on May 27, 2025. Key qualifications include obtaining a Retail Food License, Town of Frisco Business License, and Summit Fire & EMS approval. Evaluation criteria appear to emphasize vendor experience, menu diversity, and ability to enhance the marina guest experience, which saw over 83,000 visitors in the 2024 season.

There are no specific set-aside designations or restrictions mentioned for disadvantaged enterprises in this procurement. The selected vendor(s) will be required to pay a flat fee of $750.00 for the operating season and must adhere to specific operational requirements, including using recyclable/compostable packaging, creating a management plan, and providing an end-of-season sales report. The marina operates seven days a week from Memorial Day through mid-October, with food trucks expected to operate primarily Fridays through Sundays. While no incumbent vendors are specifically identified, the town encourages proposals from vendors with prior experience in similar projects. The procurement does not specify a precise budget range, but the flat fee structure and operational expectations suggest this is a revenue-sharing opportunity designed to enhance visitor experience rather than a high-value contract. Interested vendors should be prepared to demonstrate their capability to provide unique, high-quality food service in a dynamic marina environment.
