About this opportunity
Greenville County, specifically its Parks, Recreation and Tourism Division, is seeking proposals for a contract to provide freshly made pizzas with delivery services to various county facilities. The procurement involves supplying approximately 4,000 pizzas annually, primarily between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with delivery to county waterparks and other recreational facilities. The Request for Proposal (RFP #24072) requires vendors to submit comprehensive proposals including company background, qualifications, service methodology, and detailed pricing information for large cheese pizzas, one-topping pizzas, additional toppings, and delivery fees. The County intends to award a one-year contract with potential for four annual renewals, with a tentative award date of March 29, 2024, and services commencing on July 1, 2024. Proposals are due by March 15, 2024, at 3:00 pm, and a non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visits are scheduled for February 29, 2024. The evaluation will be based on six equally weighted criteria: responsiveness to RFP, references, service quality, order placement/delivery process, marketing support, and cost.
The RFP does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. The contract allows for potential utilization by other County Departments beyond Parks, Recreation and Tourism, with the County reserving the right to add or remove locations as needed. While no incumbent vendors are mentioned, the County requires vendors to maintain specific insurance coverage, including Comprehensive General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), Automobile Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence), and Statutory Worker's Compensation. The pricing sheet indicates multiple delivery sites, including community centers, parks, schools, camp locations, administrative offices, and a detention center, suggesting a diverse service area. Although a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, the anticipated volume of 4,000 pizzas annually provides vendors with a clear expectation of potential order quantities. The contract includes provisions for payment terms, with invoices due upon receipt and considered past due after 30 days, and the County retaining the right to suspend services if payment is not made within 60 days.
