About this opportunity

The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) Warehouse is soliciting quotes under Documented Quote DQ 2027000153 for fresh eggs, with written questions due November 2, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. MST and quotes due November 5, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. MST. Bidders must be registered with BidNet Direct, and the awarded bidder must hold proof of good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State before purchase order execution.

Eggs must be brown or white, U.S. Grade A, medium or large loose pack in 15- or 30-dozen cases, USDA inspected, and stamped and dated no more than 17 days before delivery. Deliveries must arrive at no more than 45 degrees Fahrenheit to Buena Vista Correctional Complex, the Central Warehouse in Canon City, and Denver Women's Correctional Facility during the week of November 9–13, 2026, with no deliveries accepted on November 11. The order form requests 210 thirty-dozen cases (30 for Buena Vista, 150 for Canon City, and 30 for Denver Women's), or 420 cases if bidders propose 15-dozen packs. The awarded brand must match the brand quoted, with no substitutions, and rejected product is returned at the vendor's expense. A vendor that fails to deliver on three separate occasions within the agreed timeframe may be deemed non-responsible and disqualified from future solicitations for three years or indefinitely.

Award goes to the responsible bidder whose acceptable quote is most advantageous to CDOC, with price and cost as the primary consideration, supplemented by sample quality and delivery lead time. Quantities and dollar amounts are not guaranteed. Pricing is all-inclusive, with no shipping, surcharges, or taxes payable by CDOC, and must remain firm for the initial purchase order term. Invoices are submitted by email to doc_ap_warehouse@state.co.us by the 15th of each month. The notice of intent to award and purchase order start are both estimated for November 5, 2026. Bidders submit Exhibits A through G, a W-9, and a contract performance certification, and the awarded vendor must provide an insurance certificate before purchase order execution.
