About this opportunity
Waldo County, Maine (procuring on behalf of the Maine Department of Corrections) is requesting quotes for food warming equipment by July 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. local time. In case of tie bids, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering Maine-manufactured products and Maine services.
The scope is a mobile, two-section heated cabinet model TS-1826-30 with humi-temp heat system and eye-level controls, designed to accommodate 18"×26", 14"×18", 12"×20", and Gastronorm 1-1 tray formats. The cabinet features 20 pairs of universal tray slides spaced 4.5 inches on center, removable slides and uprights, 20-gauge stainless steel exterior and 22-gauge interior construction, heavy-duty push bars, full bumper, and four heavy-duty poly caster wheels (two rigid, two swivel with brakes). Electrical specifications are 120v/60/1-phase at 13.3 amps with 1600-watt capacity and NEMA 5-15P outlet compatibility. Three security level options (HDM Levels 1, 2, and 3) are available, with progressively enhanced features including thermostat guards, thermometer covers, retention straps, paddle latches, tamper-proof screws, and stainless steel reinforcements. All units include a two-year limited parts warranty and one-year labor warranty. Equipment ships directly to Maine State Prison, 807 Cushing Road, Warren, Maine.
Quotes must be submitted electronically with separate unit prices for each item, transportation charges prepaid, and definite delivery terms. Bidders may submit alternate commodities with complete identification and descriptive literature. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by 10%, reject any or all quotes, and waive any formality or technicality. Awards are made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value, with consideration of quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and overall economy. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be evaluated; discounts under 20 days will not. All contractors must comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws, including the Maine Chemical Substance Identification Law.
