About this opportunity

Broward County is seeking a comprehensive open-end contract for food products and fresh produce primarily for the Broward Addiction Recovery Center (BARC) and potentially other county agencies. The procurement requires vendors to be fully compliant with the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. Vendors must submit their solicitation responses electronically through BPRO by September 29, 2025, with all questions and clarification inquiries due prior to this date. The county has established a specific submission process that requires vendors to receive a Submission Receipt and encourages early submission to avoid technical difficulties. Key requirements include submitting various documentation such as ownership disclosures, location certifications, vendor questionnaires, and adherence to specific insurance and security requirements. Vendors must carefully review the full solicitation documents, which include detailed specifications and requirements for food product procurement.

The solicitation does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises, though the Office of Economic and Small Business Development requirements are noted as not applicable to this particular solicitation. Vendors will need to complete several mandatory documents, including an Anti-Human Trafficking Affidavit, Domestic Partnership Act Certification, and provide a comprehensive litigation history. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the open-end contract structure suggests flexibility in potential order volumes. Vendors must demonstrate compliance with extensive insurance requirements, including providing a Certificate of Insurance specific to food procurement. The contract appears designed to establish a reliable supply chain for food products across Broward County agencies, with a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Potential vendors should be prepared to meet rigorous documentation, safety, and operational standards to be considered for this procurement opportunity.
