About this opportunity
The City of Philadelphia is soliciting competitive quotes for a micro purchase of folding tables, folding chairs, and dollies through a sealed-bid procurement process posted on May 8, 2026, with a submission deadline of May 15, 2026. This micro purchase will be awarded as a whole or by line item, whichever serves the City's best interest, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Sellers must submit electronic quotes through the PHLContracts eProcurement platform and must quote all items to be eligible for award consideration. Quoted pricing must reflect competitive and reasonable rates, with all prices quoted FOB Destination Point and exclusive of taxes, as the City is exempt from federal excise, transportation, and Pennsylvania sales and use taxes. Sellers are prohibited from initiating delivery or providing services until receiving official written notification from the purchasing department. The contract will automatically commence on the effective date specified in PHLContracts and will terminate 365 days thereafter without further notice, with all terms and prices remaining valid for 60 days from submission or throughout the contract term for requirements contracts.
Participation in this procurement is open to all responsive and responsible bidders, though the City encourages Local Business Entity (LBE) certified vendors to apply. Sellers must maintain workers' compensation insurance at statutory limits, general liability insurance with a minimum $500,000 per occurrence limit, and automobile liability insurance at $300,000 per occurrence. Additionally, sellers must certify that they are not indebted to Philadelphia for delinquent taxes, liens, or judgments, and must comply with all applicable laws, ethics requirements, and nondiscrimination provisions. All sellers must submit a signed Consent and Authorization Agreement prior to bid closing to ensure their quotes are deemed responsive. The maximum contract value is $43,000, adjusted annually by the Consumer Price Index percentage increase from January 1, 2020, rounded to the nearest thousand dollars. The contract is governed by Pennsylvania law with jurisdiction in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County, and all payments will be processed through electronic payment methods with direct deposit to the awarded vendor's designated bank account following delivery approval and invoice submission.
