The procurement seeks a complete, new, current-manufacture unit designed to mount onto a Ford F-350 truck with an 8-foot cargo bed for use in prescribed burning operations on remote forest lands and rough terrain. The specified assembly must include a 300-gallon polypropylene water tank, a 20-horsepower Honda V-twin engine with electric start, a CET pump capable of 250 GPM at 50 PSI, a Waterous foam proportioner system, a Task Force Tips foam nozzle, a Hannay hose reel with 150 feet of 1-inch booster hose, and comprehensive discharge manifolds, controls, and safety components. Bidders must provide manufacturer cut sheets and descriptive literature for all components, and the successful bidder must deliver a fully operational, inspected, and serviced unit ready for immediate use with on-site training included at no additional cost to the County. Pricing shall be submitted as a single, firm, fixed unit price for the complete assembly with delivery included to 2601 Vista Parkway, West Palm Beach, FL 33441, with prices remaining firm for 90 days from opening date and F.O.B. point at destination, with the successful bidder retaining title and assuming all transportation risk.
Palm Beach County offers a 5% local preference discount for bidders with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades, provided they submit a valid Business Tax Receipt and completed Certification of Business Location. All vendors must maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum limit of $500,000, Business Auto Liability Insurance at $500,000 Combined Single Limit, and Workers' Compensation Insurance in accordance with Florida Statute Chapter 440. The successful bidder shall provide a one-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery and acceptance and must comply with Palm Beach County's non-discrimination policy, public records requirements, and criminal history records check ordinance. The County will award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on an all-or-none basis, with an option to purchase additional quantities of the same unit at the offered price within twelve months from award date under mutual written agreement. No incumbent vendors, budget ranges, or specific award values are identified in the solicitation documents provided.
