About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) has issued a solicitation for Fire Station 4 Rebranding Signage Replacement, seeking a State of Florida licensed contractor to perform comprehensive signage modification services. The project requires the contractor to remove existing "RC" letters from the old Reedy Creek Fire Department signage on both the front and side of the building, replace smaller front letters with a "D" to create "District Fire Department" (DFD) branding, and install a new light box fire department logo sign. Contractors must refurbish existing letters to a "like new" condition, transitioning the signage from "RCFD" to "DFD". The procurement is specifically located in Orange County, Florida, and will be conducted through the PlanetBids Vendor Portal. Qualified contractors must hold a General Contractor, Building Contractor, or Electrical Specialty Contractor license from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. Additionally, all field personnel must possess OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications. The solicitation was posted on August 8, 2025, with proposals due by August 20, 2025.
The solicitation encourages vendor registration on the PlanetBids platform and appears to have established preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses. While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed, the procurement seems designed to provide opportunities for diverse business types. The district will only accept electronic bids through the platform to ensure transparency and fair competition. No specific incumbent vendor information or current contract details are provided in the available documentation. The solicitation does not specify a precise budget range or award value for the signage replacement project. Potential bidders are instructed to thoroughly review EXHIBIT B - PLAN SET, which is listed within the solicitation and contains additional technical specifications and requirements for the signage modification work.
