About this opportunity
Palm Beach County Facilities Development and Operations Department is requesting sealed bids on the relocation and installation of a temporary trailer to serve as Fire Station 16B under IFQ/B P-2026-000054, with bids due July 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. and a mandatory pre-bid meeting on June 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. A 25% Small Business Enterprise participation goal is established; contractors unable to meet this goal must demonstrate Good Faith Efforts and submit waiver requests seven days prior to bid opening.
The scope requires disconnection of utilities from the existing temporary trailer at 8130 N. Jog Road, West Palm Beach, safe preparation for transport, transportation to 12180 Alternate A1A in Palm Beach Gardens, placement, leveling, anchoring, utility reconnection, and all work necessary to place the facility into operational service. The contractor must achieve substantial completion within 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages assessed at $180 per day for delays. A 12-month warranty on equipment, materials, and labor is required, along with a Certificate of Occupancy or Completion prior to final payment.
The estimated project cost is $450,000. Bid security and public construction bonds are required for bids of $200,000 or more at five percent of bid price and 100 percent of the work order amount, respectively. Contractors must be pre-qualified under Palm Beach County's Annual Contract for Minor Construction Services, with qualification applications due at least 10 days before the bid due date. Currie Sowards Aguila Architects, Inc. is the Architect/Engineer of Record. Confidential building plans are available only through a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement submitted to FDO-CID-Bids@pbc.gov. Questions are due at least seven calendar days prior to bid opening. Addendum One was issued June 2, 2026, replacing Exhibit 1; bidders must acknowledge receipt on the bid proposal form or face disqualification.
