About this opportunity

The Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) is seeking a contractor to provide financial management services for its Veteran Directed Care (VDC) program. The contractor's services will involve sharing information and facilitating the provision of services to third parties, but AACOG will not directly benefit from the contractor's services and will not be responsible for any payments. The contractor must have significant experience in financial management services and will operate as an independent contractor, not entitled to any employee-related benefits from AACOG. The scope of work includes establishing and maintaining a customer service system, developing a system to receive and distribute Veteran Affairs funds, managing employer enrollment and worker employment processes, processing timesheets and payroll, and providing other financial management functions. The initial contract period will be for 3 years, with an option for two 1-year extensions. Proposals are due by October 31, 2024, and the evaluation criteria include the proposer's performance, experience, budget, compliance with RFP requirements, and innovative approaches.

AACOG encourages participation by small and historically underutilized businesses and requires the selected contractor to comply with non-discrimination and other administrative requirements. The RFP does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, and no specific award value or budget range is provided. The contractor will be responsible for any costs incurred and will not have any claim against AACOG in the event AACOG loses funding for the program.
