About this opportunity

The state and local contract opportunity is a procurement issued by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) for a FILLER, BODY, PLATINUM PLUS GOLD LIGHTWEIGHT product, solicited through a competitive bidding process. The opportunity, identified by reference number 2097408, was posted on January 7, 2026, with responses due by January 14, 2026. Potential vendors are required to register through the Bonfire platform to access detailed bid specifications and project requirements. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall pricing, and DART emphasizes that delivery timelines are critical, with failure to meet specified delivery schedules potentially resulting in order rejection or default termination. Vendors must submit invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org, including specific details such as purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Payment terms are established at Net 30, meaning invoices will be processed 30 days from receipt or order completion.

The contract opportunity does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must comply with various legal requirements, including equal employment opportunity provisions and certification that they are not on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts. Additionally, vendors must verify that they and their affiliated entities do not boycott Israel. While specific award values are not disclosed in the provided documentation, the procurement is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County. The comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document indicates that sellers must warrant that all supplies, services, and construction are of merchantable quality and comply with specified standards. Disputes will be resolved through a structured process beginning with the Contracting Officer's written decision, with potential for appeal to the Authority within 30 days of the initial determination.
