About this opportunity
Chatham County and Savannah State University are seeking qualified suppliers for a fiber services contract through an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) issued under the State Purchasing Act. The procurement aims to establish a contract with one or more suppliers capable of providing comprehensive fiber services to Savannah State University, with the primary objective of evaluating and selecting vendors through a competitive bidding process. The eRFQ will involve a structured evaluation of supplier responses, with a Q&A deadline set for October 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., during which potential vendors can submit clarifying questions through the designated Q&A Board. The solicitation will follow a transparent selection process, with preliminary results publicly announced, including participating supplier names and evaluation outcomes. Potential suppliers will be required to submit their complete responses by the final due date of November 3, 2025, after which the state will conduct a comprehensive review of all submissions to determine the most qualified vendor(s) for the fiber services contract.
While specific set-aside designations or vendor restrictions are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears to be open to qualified suppliers who can meet the technical and operational requirements for fiber services. The eRFQ process suggests a competitive bidding environment that will likely consider factors such as technical capability, service quality, and potential cost-effectiveness. Although specific award values or budget ranges are not specified in the current document, the contract appears focused on establishing a strategic partnership for fiber infrastructure services at Savannah State University. The procurement follows standard state government contracting protocols, with a structured evaluation process that includes public announcement of results and a potential protest mechanism for unsuccessful bidders. Interested suppliers should carefully review the full eRFQ documentation and ensure they can meet the technical specifications and operational requirements for providing fiber services to the state entity.
