About this opportunity
The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is seeking bids for the purchase of three new chemical metering pump units, specifically Watson Marlow Pumps Qdos H-FLO model pump drives paired with ReNu 300 Pumpheads. This procurement is a Request for Bid (RFB) covering Dane County and the City of Madison in Wisconsin, with bids due by 1:00 p.m. Central Time on December 2, 2025. Prospective bidders must meet mandatory qualifications, including being in the chemical metering pump business for at least three years and providing a written warranty that parts are brand new and free of defects. The evaluation criteria focus on the lowest lump sum bid from a responsive and responsible bidder, with the successful contractor required to deliver the units within six weeks of award. Bidders must submit their proposals using Bid Form A, specifying a fixed lump sum cost in U.S. Dollars and guaranteed delivery time. Questions and clarifications must be submitted by November 25, 2025, and bidders are advised to check the District's website for potential addenda within 72 hours of the bid deadline.
The solicitation does not explicitly mention any set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. The document indicates that the District is federal and state tax exempt and reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive any technicality. While no incumbent vendors are listed, the procurement specifically requires compatibility with existing infrastructure by seeking Watson Marlow Pumps Qdos H-FLO model pump drives and ReNu 300 Pumpheads. Invoicing will occur upon shipment, with the District having 30 days to pay or reject invoices. The bid documents do not provide a specific budget range or total award value for the pump purchases. Interested vendors can direct inquiries to Erik Rehr, Maintenance and Reliability Manager, at 608-709-1833 or rfp@madsewer.org, with bids to be submitted to the District office at 1610 Moorland Road, Madison, Wisconsin 53713.
