About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, is seeking to procure a specific fan component: FAN, 230VAC, 4656ZWU-956 INVERTER (Item 2096907). This procurement opportunity is being conducted through the Bonfire registration platform, which requires potential vendors to initiate a submission process to access detailed bidding information. The contract opportunity mandates that all bids must include FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs integrated into the overall price, explicitly rejecting FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. The procurement is scheduled with a posting date of December 10, 2025, and a response deadline of December 17, 2025. Vendors must submit comprehensive responses that include detailed specifications for the inverter, including quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Delivery performance is critical, with DART emphasizing that time and delivery rates are essential, and failure to meet specified delivery schedules could result in order rejection or default termination.
The contract opportunity does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Vendors must comply with equal opportunity employment requirements and provide certification of non-affiliation with Foreign Terrorist Organizations. The payment structure is standardized with Net 30 terms, requiring invoices to be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and including specific documentation like purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. While specific award values are not detailed in the available documentation, the procurement is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County. Potential vendors should be prepared to fully integrate with DART's existing procurement infrastructure and meet all specified technical and administrative requirements for the inverter component.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
