About this opportunity

The Village of North Chevy Chase, an incorporated municipality in Montgomery County, Maryland, is requesting proposals for curbside leaf removal services with a proposal due date of September 9, 2026, and service commencement on or about October 1, 2026.

The contract term is up to three years with two optional one-year extensions. Services cover weekly leaf collection from all streets within the Village's boundaries (approximately 0.11 square miles serving 211 single-dwelling households) during the October 1 through December 31 period each year, excluding weekends and holidays. The contract end date may be extended by up to one month depending on weather conditions and additional service requirements. Leaves placed curbside will be accessible for collection; along Kensington Parkway, leaves will be placed in the sidewalk buffer due to traffic volume and street width. Sticks, trash, rocks, and other debris will not be collected.

The contractor must prioritize leaf removal above and near two storm drains (at Stewart Drive/Montgomery Avenue and Kenilworth Drive/Montgomery Avenue, while avoiding damage to native plant gardens) and at bus stops along Kensington Parkway. The contractor will establish a consistent weekly service day and, if inclement weather prevents service, will provide the Village Manager with an alternate day as soon as possible to inform residents.

No estimated contract value, evaluation criteria, incumbent contractor, pre-bid meeting, or question deadline is specified in the source.
