About this opportunity
The State of Maine, through its Department of Administrative and Financial Services Office of State Procurement Services (OSPS) on behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, is seeking quotations to provide domestic, oil-free, grade 30 chains for buoys. The required quantity is 10 drums of 550 feet per drum, with a maximum of 2 drums per skid. Quotations are due by October 30, 2024, with questions due by October 28, 2024. The State reserves the right to make a single award or multiple awards, and the selected vendor must provide 2 business days' notice prior to delivery. Any unacceptable chains will be returned at the vendor's expense. Pricing must be provided on a "Free on Board (FOB) - Destination" basis, and the State is exempt from paying federal, state, and local taxes. The award will be made to the bidder providing the best value, with delivery time as a potential factor. The State also reserves the right to negotiate the purchase of additional chains for 6 months after the initial award.
The RFQ does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFQ also does not provide any information on incumbent vendors or current contractors, existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration, or possible award values or budget ranges.
