About this opportunity

The University of Georgia's Facilities Management Division (FMD) is seeking to establish a contract through this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) for Facility Store & Warehouse Operation services. The selected supplier will be responsible for operating the university's 70,000 square-foot facility that stores products for FMD technicians. The scope of work includes procuring and receiving products, managing inventory, providing an online ordering system, tracking orders, assisting customers with order pickup and product selection, delivering products, reporting, and designing and maintaining the warehouse space. The university's warehouse currently spends $7.8 million annually on supplies and materials. The primary goals are to consolidate all shop purchases to the FMD Warehouse in order to reduce operating costs, improve visibility, productivity, traceability, and minimize travel time for technicians. The contract will be awarded for an initial term with the possibility of renewals up to a total of fifteen (15) years.

The eRFP is open to all qualified suppliers, and there are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The university has not provided any information about incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor have they indicated any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The eRFP does not specify a budget range or award value, but the current annual spend of $7.8 million on supplies and materials provides an indication of the potential scope of the contract.
