About this opportunity
Douglas County Government's Department of Facilities & Fleet Services is requesting bids for a comprehensive Facility Pest Control Program covering multiple county-owned buildings, with bids due October 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. and questions due October 2, 2026. The County intends to award one firm for all services.
The scope covers pest control for ants, bats, bees, mice, pigeons, spiders, and wasps across thirty-nine facility locations specified in Exhibit B. Services include an initial inspection and treatment visit, monthly bait station checks and servicing, seasonal pest spraying, emergency response within six hours, and non-emergency response within twenty-four hours. All work must be performed Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Bidders must submit detailed treatment methods and mitigation plans for all thirty-nine facility locations, firm qualifications and Colorado business history, three current client references with contact information, and resumes with three references for each proposed technician.
The initial contract term runs January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027, with four optional one-year renewal periods contingent upon annual funding appropriation and satisfactory performance. All pricing must be firm and fixed for the specified contract period, with payment on a Net 30 basis; the County encourages use of purchasing cards for payment after service verification.
Successful bidders must pass state and federal fingerprint and background checks, obtain vendor accounts with the Colorado Bureau of Investigations, and comply with CJIS security requirements, including DNA sample collection and Non-Disclosure Agreements for facilities with enhanced security requirements. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing/BidNet System at www.bidnetdirect.com/colorado/douglas-county-government as a single PDF document without password protection. The IFB does not obligate the County to make an award.
