About this opportunity

The Borough of Naugatuck, Connecticut is seeking proposals for Eviction Services through a solicitation (FY24-B048) for the fiscal year period of July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024. The procurement specifically requires a contractor to perform services mandated by Connecticut General Statutes Section 47a-42, which obligates the Borough to store and subsequently auction goods belonging to persons lawfully evicted from premises within Naugatuck. The contractor will be responsible for receiving, storing, and managing personal property from evicted residents, and conducting auctions of those goods after a prescribed period. The solicitation was posted on April 5, 2023, with proposals due by April 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM EDT. Vendors must submit their proposals directly to the Borough, and the bid documents can be obtained at no cost from the Borough's website (www.naugatuck-ct.gov). The primary point of contact for this solicitation is Felix Planas, who can be reached at 203-720-7063 or felix.planas@naugatuck-ct.gov. Notably, the contractor is prohibited from subcontracting any services without prior written approval from the Borough.

The solicitation appears to be open to all vendors without specific set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational types. No information is provided about incumbent vendors or existing infrastructure that would require integration. The solicitation does not specify an estimated total contract value, budget range, or potential award amount. Delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, with payment terms to be determined by the vendor. There are no mentioned preferences for disadvantaged enterprises or small businesses. The contract will be for a one-year term from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, with no indication of potential renewal options. The Borough will evaluate proposals based on the vendor's ability to meet the statutory requirements for storing and auctioning evicted residents' personal property, though specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the solicitation documents.
