About this opportunity

The City of Imperial is soliciting bids for EV charging station installation and associated electrical and site work under Phase II and Phase III, with proposals due October 8, 2026. The scope includes furnishing and installing two 180-kW all-in-one DC fast charging stations, reinforced-concrete charger pads, underground electrical feeder conduit extension from existing Phase I infrastructure, electrical conductors, grounding, terminations, switchgear connections, site restoration (sawcutting, trench excavation, backfilling, compaction, asphalt pavement restoration, striping), testing, commissioning, network and payment-system activation, and traffic control. All work occurs within City of Imperial public right of way and property.

The existing pad-mounted transformer, primary electrical service, traffic-rated pull box, and 2,500-amp switchgear from Phase I remain in place and are not supplied under this contract. The contractor must verify final connection points and existing facility locations using approved Phase I as-built plans and coordinate with the City prior to construction start. The contractor is responsible for all quality control testing to verify material and workmanship compliance; contractor-performed QC testing does not replace or limit the City's right to conduct independent QA, acceptance, or independent assurance testing.

The source does not identify a contract value, incumbent, evaluation criteria weighting, pre-bid meeting date, question deadline, or anticipated award date.
