About this opportunity

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has issued a Single Feasible Source (SFS) solicitation for an ETHERNET/IP Designed Camera Lowering System with Concrete Pole, with [MG]2, Inc. of Birmingham, AL identified as the sole source provider. The procurement specifically seeks a CLDMG2-HYPIP6-050-CON system that includes a CAT6a Shielded Ethernet Configuration with 2G Latch, a custom molded rubber gold plated-IP connector, RJ-45 plugs factory installed on CAT6a cable, a 4G Camera junction box with Stabil-Weights, pole top junction box, LC Conduit mount adapter, M12 Ethernet connector, and a 59ft OAL/50ft AG Spun concrete lowering system pole with direct burial capability. The solicitation is open from December 16, 2022, to December 28, 2022, with electronic submissions required through the MissouriBUYS eProcurement system. Evaluation criteria will focus on the vendor's ability to meet the precise technical specifications, with MoDOT reserving the right to reject any submissions that do not fully comply with the mandatory requirements. The procurement is being conducted under Missouri state regulations that allow for single feasible source purchases when a product is considered proprietary and only available from a single manufacturer or distributor.

While no specific set-aside designations are mandatory, the solicitation encourages 10% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and 5% Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation through subcontractors, suppliers, or joint ventures. The procurement does not list an incumbent vendor, as this appears to be a unique, specialized equipment purchase. The solicitation indicates that purchases over $25,000 will be subject to the Domestic Products Procurement Act and must comply with associated requirements. No specific contract value or budget range is explicitly stated in the documents. Delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, with Net 30 days payment terms. The contract will be awarded to [MG]2, Inc. as the single feasible source provider, contingent on their ability to demonstrate full compliance with the technical specifications and MoDOT's procurement requirements. Electronic submissions must be made through the MissouriBUYS system, with hard copy submissions potentially permitted with prior buyer approval.
