About this opportunity
The Orange-Ulster Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) in Goshen, New York, is seeking bids for Esthetician Equipment to be used in their Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) and Adult Education programs. The procurement specifically targets two primary pieces of equipment: one Torno Advanced Diode Laser Hair Removal System and twelve Bellezza 7-in-1 Skin Rejuvenation Systems. The bid requires vendors to provide detailed product specifications, unit pricing, and total costs, including shipping fees. Bidders must submit comprehensive documentation, with allowances for "or equal" items when properly substantiated. The bid is open until December 19th, 2024, at 2:00 PM, with a contract period spanning from January 9th, 2025, through July 8th, 2025. All equipment must be new, of high quality, and include a minimum one-year warranty from installation date. Additional requirements include providing free training materials and education, either on-site or via video call.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the documentation. Bidders must complete several mandatory certification documents, including an Iran Divestment Act certification, a non-collusive bidding certification, a conflict of interest certificate, and a sexual harassment prevention statement. The procurement is tax-exempt, and BOCES reserves the right to extend the contract for up to three additional six-month periods under the same terms and conditions. Delivery expectations are within 4 weeks of the purchase order, with special order items potentially requiring longer lead times. While no specific budget range was provided, the bid suggests a focused procurement for specialized esthetician educational equipment. BOCES maintains flexibility in the procurement, noting that while they intend to order all items on a single Purchase Order after bid award, there is no guarantee that all or any items will be definitively purchased.
Opportunity text
It is the intent of this specification to describe the minimum requirements for providing ESTHETICIAN EQUIPMENT (CTE) to be used as "classroom material" in our Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) and our Adult Education programs. It is expected that all equipment shipped as a result of a bid award be "firsts" and of high quality, with no material or cosmetic defects. This bid should identify unit prices for each item. Complete description with copy of catalog page must be provided for all "or equal" or substituted items. It is expected that all items listed in this bid will be ordered on one Purchase Order shortly after the bid award, however there is no guarantee that all or any items will be purchased.
