About this opportunity
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking competitive proposals for all aspects of ephemeral wetland vegetation and associated organic sediment management on public conservation land, or other applicable land, within the State of Florida. The services required include herbicide application, manual vegetation removal, mechanical tree/shrub cutting, and organic sediment disturbance or removal. Respondents must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) system and with Sunbiz prior to submitting a bid. A mandatory pre-proposal conference/site visit will be held on June 13, 2024, and responses are due by July 3, 2024. FWC anticipates awarding the contract on August 12, 2024, with an initial term of 5 years and the possibility of 3 one-year renewal periods. The RFP has an estimated budget of $15,000,000 for the initial 5-year term and renewal periods.
FWC encourages participation by minority, women, and veteran-owned business enterprises. Respondents must provide pricing on a "Loaded Ceiling Price per Acre" basis, which includes all costs associated with meeting the project specifications. This is a multi-award bid, and subsequent Requests for Quotes (RFQs) will be issued for individual project sites, allowing the selected contractors to submit fixed unit rate quotes for each project. The contract opportunity is specific to the state of Florida and the jurisdiction of Leon County.
