About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Health's Division of Disease Control and Health Protection is seeking to procure a 3-year software maintenance agreement for its existing Geographic Information System (GIS) from Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). The GIS software and data formats allow the Department to quickly share critical information with partners and respond to environmental health events that have the potential to affect human health. The maintenance agreement includes licensing for ArcGIS Desktop, Server, and Web mapping software, as well as associated analytical tools. As a sole-source procurement, ESRI is the only authorized provider of these integrated software and maintenance services. The Department has determined that ESRI is the sole source for these services and is requesting authorization to proceed with this single-source acquisition in accordance with Florida Administrative Code.

This opportunity is open only to ESRI as the sole-source provider. The estimated value of the contract is $500,000. ESRI holds the exclusive rights to all upgrades, modifications, and enhancements required to maintain the Department's integrated GIS system. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the type of organization that can respond, as ESRI is the only eligible vendor. The Department has been using ESRI's GIS software and services as the incumbent, and the proposed contract will ensure the continued operation and maintenance of the Department's critical GIS infrastructure.
