About this opportunity
The Mount Ascutney Regional Commission (MARC) is administering the Enhancement Development, Design, and Implementation Block Grant (EDDIBG) program, a funding opportunity available to eligible entities throughout Vermont with a focus on Windsor County. This procurement seeks applications for clean water projects in various stages of development, including project development, preliminary (30%) engineering design, final (100%) engineering design, and implementation activities. All eligible projects must be non-regulatory in nature and must achieve at least one of five statutorily-defined goals: protecting high quality waters, maintaining or improving water quality, restoring degraded or stressed waters, creating resilient watersheds and communities, or supporting public use and enjoyment of the state's waters. The application deadline is May 15, 2026 at 4:30 p.m., and MARC has approximately $900,000 available to support eligible clean water activities across the funding round. Applicants should note that the specific evaluation criteria, detailed application requirements, and qualifications for eligible entities are not detailed in the posted announcement and should be confirmed through the official request for applications documentation.
The posting does not specify set-aside designations, restrictions on organizational types, or disadvantaged enterprise preferences for this funding opportunity. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements are identified in the available information. The total funding pool of approximately $900,000 represents the maximum available budget for this second funding round of the EDDIBG program, though individual project award values are not specified in the announcement. Interested applicants should obtain the complete request for applications document and any supplementary materials from MARC to understand all eligibility requirements, submission procedures, evaluation methodology, and specific award parameters for projects in their area of interest.
