About this opportunity

The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Division of Procurement Services, is requesting quotations on behalf of MaineDOT Fleet Services for one engine lathe, with quotations due June 7, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. EST.

The required equipment is a Lion Engine Lathe model 20-MT-3 with a 3.2" spindle bore or an approved equivalent, meeting detailed specifications including 20" swing over bed, 80" distance between centers, 16 spindle speeds (11–2,000 RPM), 72 threads and feeds, D1-8 spindle nose, and a minimum 10 horsepower motor with 3-phase 220-volt electrics. The unit must be delivered fully assembled, inspected, serviced, and ready for operation to MaineDOT Fleet Services at 66 Industrial Drive, Augusta, Maine.

Quotations must be submitted through the State of Maine's AdvantageME Vendor Self Service electronic procurement system and must include cost quotations, delivery timeframe in days, product data sheets, warranty information, and completed noncollusion and specification-compliance certifications. The bid price is on an FOB Destination basis, inclusive of all shipping charges, with the State bearing no responsibility for goods until receipt at destination. The vendor must provide manufacturer's standard warranty beginning from MaineDOT's in-service date and cover all repair costs during the warranty period.

Award will be made on a best value basis considering price, delivery timeline, equipment conformity to specifications, warranty terms, and local service availability. The State reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, waive minor informalities, and consider previous performance history. Bidders may submit multiple quotations with alternative pricing or equipment options for State consideration.

The purchase is subject to a Financial Assistance Agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation and all federal and state laws, regulations, and standards.
