About this opportunity
The City of Statesboro is soliciting a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for consultant services to design a concrete channel, linear park, and 10-foot-wide shared use path along Little Lotts Creek. The project spans from West Main Street to Gentilly Drive, with a specific GDOT grant-funded segment (PI 0019858) covering approximately 0.22 miles from SR 73/US 25/US 301/S Main Street to CS 699/South Zetterower Avenue. Deliverables will include design elements such as concrete pavement, lighting, landscaping, and a mid-block pedestrian crossing. Firms will be evaluated using four key criteria: Experience (30%), Resources and Workload capacity (20%), Technical Approach (40%), and Past Performance (10%). A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 28th, 2025, at 3 PM EST at Central Services, located at 22 West Grady St., Statesboro, GA. The submission deadline for RFQs is May 14th, 2025, at 3 PM EST, with submissions to be made directly to the City of Statesboro's Central Services Department. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications and to waive technicalities at its discretion.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the documentation, qualified firms will be invited to provide a technical approach and potentially participate in interviews. The RFQ does not indicate any incumbent vendors or specify existing infrastructure integration requirements. The document references two exhibits (Exhibit I and Exhibit II) that likely contain more detailed scope of services information, though the specific budget range or award value is not disclosed in the provided materials. The procurement is specifically targeting consultant firms with expertise in urban infrastructure design, particularly those with experience in creating shared use paths, linear parks, and concrete channel projects. Firms responding to the RFQ will need to demonstrate significant technical capabilities, professional experience in similar municipal infrastructure projects, and the capacity to complete the proposed design work within the project's specified parameters.
