About this opportunity
This state and local contract opportunity posted by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) in Orange County, Florida is seeking a contractor to provide a reliable and quality water treatment program for various energy plants in the district, including the Magic Kingdom Central Energy Plant, Epcot Central Energy Plant, Hollywood Studio North and South Energy Plants, Contemporary Chiller Plant, and the Cogeneration utility. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, transportation, tools, and other items necessary to maintain these systems, including organic chemical water treatment of all boilers, re-circulating cooling, closed hot water and closed chilled water systems and associated equipment. The chemical water treatment programs must prevent scale and fouling, corrosion, and biological growth to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum cost without incurring equipment failures and unscheduled outages. The contract will also require analytical, consulting and water management services, as well as 24/7 emergency response. A non-mandatory site visit will be held on January 29, 2024, and bids must be submitted electronically through the CFTOD's new PlanetBids platform by February 8, 2024.
The ITB indicates that CFTOD has bid preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses on most solicitations. While an incumbent vendor or current contract value is not specified, the document suggests a multi-year contract term. Interested vendors must register on the PlanetBids platform to access supporting attachments and submit questions or bids.
