About this opportunity
Strathcona County is seeking proposals for EMS Chest Compression Devices with Maintenance Services through a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued on July 29, 2025, with submissions due by August 26, 2025. The procurement involves supplying new chest compression device units with comprehensive maintenance services for a planned 8-10 year lifecycle program. Qualified vendors must provide not only the initial equipment but also warranty repair, general repair, preventative maintenance, and the capability to supply spare devices during service periods. A mandatory on-site product demonstration is required for shortlisted proponents, and all pricing must be fully inclusive, incorporating applicable tariffs as of the submission deadline. The RFP specifically requires vendors to demonstrate their ability to support emergency medical services equipment with robust maintenance and replacement strategies. Proponents must carefully review Section G of the RFP Particulars for detailed pricing submission guidelines and ensure complete compliance with all specified requirements.
While the provided documentation does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements, the RFP appears to be a competitive procurement opportunity open to qualified vendors with demonstrated expertise in emergency medical equipment and maintenance services. The procurement does not specify incumbent vendors or existing technological infrastructure that would require integration. Although specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the 8-10 year lifecycle program suggests a potentially significant long-term contract value for the selected vendor. The mandatory on-site product demonstration indicates that technical capabilities, performance reliability, and equipment quality will be critical evaluation criteria. Prospective vendors should prepare comprehensive proposals that highlight their technical expertise, maintenance capabilities, and ability to provide uninterrupted service for critical emergency medical equipment.
