About this opportunity

The State of Maine Division of Purchases is soliciting bids for EMC Exchange Disk Arrays, with bids due January 25, 2012. A 5% preference applies to in-state bidders or those offering Maine-manufactured commodities where bids are tied.

The scope comprises one CX4 40U Rack unit, 225 units of 300GB 15K 4GB Fibre Channel drives, one rack power cord for US use, 15 4G Direct Attached Enclosures, and eight 5-meter HSSDC2 to HSSDC2 bus cables. All components must be genuine EMC parts specified by model number. Bidders may propose alternate commodities equal to specifications if they supply complete identification and descriptive literature.

Bids must include separate unit prices for each item delivered to destination with applicable discounts included, and must be submitted electronically prior to closing. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10%. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder considering best value to the State, with evaluation factors including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and total cost. Deliveries must comply with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Transportation charges must be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes; bids should exclude these amounts. Bid tabulations will be available for public inspection after contract award.

No contract value, contract term, or incumbent vendor information is provided in the source materials.
