About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for a heater cab assembly element (Item 2098037) through a purchase order procurement process. The specific deliverable is a replacement or component part for DART's transit equipment, though detailed specifications are accessible only through the BONFIRE registration system and the in-browser BidTable after initiating the submission process. Interested vendors must register on the BONFIRE platform to access complete project details, technical specifications, and the vendor response fields necessary to prepare their bids. The opportunity was posted on February 13, 2026, with a bid due date of February 24, 2026, providing vendors with eleven calendar days to prepare and submit their responses. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs fully included in the overall price, and vendors must strictly adhere to DART's specified delivery timelines, as failure to meet delivery schedules constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination. No formal bidders' meetings or site visits are mentioned in the available documentation, and evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed in the posted materials.
The procurement is governed by DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which require vendor compliance with equal opportunity employment provisions, certification that neither the vendor nor affiliated entities boycott Israel, and verification that the vendor is not identified on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts. Vendors must submit invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and understand that DART operates on Net 30 payment terms, with payment issued 30 days from invoice receipt or order receipt, whichever is later. The available documentation does not specify set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, incumbent vendors, current contractors, or award value ranges; vendors should contact DART directly or access the full BONFIRE solicitation for additional requirements and budget information. The complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions PDF is available in the Supporting Documentation section and should be thoroughly reviewed before submission. Pricing must include all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, with DART asserting exemption from Texas state and local sales and use taxes.
