About this opportunity

The City of Yuma is requesting bids on an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for comprehensive electrical services under RFB-26-341, with bids due October 15, 2026. The contractor must be licensed under Arizona ROC C-11 or CR-11 — a mandatory qualification filter.

The scope encompasses as-needed repair and installation services for all municipal electrical systems, including power distribution equipment, lighting, emergency power systems, building automation system integration, and related infrastructure. Services include diagnostic and corrective repairs; component replacements (circuit breakers, panels, transformers, wiring, conduit, motors, VFDs, lighting fixtures, receptacles, switches, surge protection, and UPS units); new installations and upgrades; emergency response; arc flash compliance support; and full work documentation. The contractor must maintain 24/7 availability with onsite response to routine service requests within 48 hours and emergency responses within 2 hours during business hours. Regular service hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with after-hours service available from 6:01 p.m. to 6:59 a.m. weekdays and 24-hour weekend/holiday coverage. All work must comply with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, UL standards, and local codes.

Bidders must submit three separate pricing documents: hourly labor rates across four categories (regular, after-hours, weekend/holiday, and helper/apprentice); a uniform percentage markup on all materials and components; and pricing for three project scenarios (emergency power circuit relocation, after-hours parking lot lighting repair, and weekend storm damage mitigation). All materials must be new, first-quality, UL-listed components from authorized distributors. No separate equipment rental, trip, mobilization, emergency call-out, or labor markup fees are permitted. Final inspection and approval by the Facilities Management Supervisor is required before project acceptance.
