About this opportunity

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality is requesting an exemption from competition for radiological instrumentation calibration, maintenance, and repair services, with the Department of Purchasing (DOP) accepting supplier input through July 24, 2026.

The exemption request is discretionary and final approval rests with the DOP Administrator, who will determine whether competitive procurement would be impractical, unreasonable, or disadvantageous to the state. The agency has not announced a contract value, term, or scope specifications. Suppliers may submit information supporting or contradicting the exemption claim by attaching documentation to the IPRO system or emailing purchasing@adm.idaho.gov prior to the July 24 deadline. The Administrator's decision is final with no supplier right of appeal.

This is a transparency filing rather than an active competitive solicitation; interested vendors should review the agency's exemption request in the Buyer Attachment section of IPRO to understand the equipment, service requirements, and justification for sole-source or limited-competition procurement.

Opportunity text

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has requested an exemption from competition for the purchase of Radiological Instrumentation Calibration, maintenance and repairs. In the interest of transparency, DOP is offering suppliers the opportunity to review this requested exemption and provide relevant information. The decision remains discretionary, and suppliers have no right to appeal the Administrator's decision. Suppliers are invited to provide information that may help the DOP Administrator make a decision regarding this requested exemption from competition. Please review the Agency's request, attached in the Buyer Attachment section of IPRO.
