About this opportunity
The state of Idaho, specifically Canyon County, is seeking proposals for Laundry and Linen Services at State Hospital North in Orofino, with a contract opportunity identified by ID 67dd663edff30f04d103ba82. The procurement is focused on comprehensive laundry management services for the state healthcare facility, requiring vendors to provide full-scale linen processing, maintenance, and support. Critical deliverables will likely include industrial-scale laundering capabilities, consistent linen inventory management, and adherence to strict healthcare sanitation standards. The solicitation was posted on March 20, 2025, with proposals due by March 25, 2025, providing a relatively short five-day window for potential bidders to prepare and submit comprehensive responses. Vendors must demonstrate extensive experience in healthcare linen services, possess appropriate industrial laundering equipment, and have proven protocols for maintaining hygiene and quality standards in medical textile processing. Evaluation criteria are expected to emphasize vendor capability, past performance, technical competence, and cost-effectiveness.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided information, healthcare service contracts often include preferences for local businesses or disadvantaged enterprise participation. The contract appears targeted at professional laundry service providers with specific expertise in medical facility linen management. Potential bidders should anticipate requirements for comprehensive background checks, proof of insurance, and demonstrated compliance with healthcare industry regulations. Although precise budget ranges are not specified, state hospital laundry service contracts typically represent significant annual investments, potentially ranging from $250,000 to $1.5 million depending on facility size and service scope. Interested vendors should be prepared to provide detailed operational plans, equipment specifications, staffing models, and comprehensive cost structures that demonstrate their ability to meet the State Hospital North's precise linen service requirements.
