About this opportunity
The State of Idaho's Information Technology Services is requesting an exemption from the competitive bidding process for generator maintenance services. This procurement opportunity, posted on April 16, 2026, with a deadline of April 21, 2026, invites suppliers to submit information regarding the requested exemption from competition. The Department of Procurement (DOP) is transparently offering the vendor community an opportunity to review the agency's exemption request and provide relevant information that may support or contradict the claim that competition would be impractical, unreasonable, or disadvantageous to the state. Interested parties are invited to provide documentation and data that could influence the DOP Administrator's decision on whether to grant the exemption. All submissions must be made through the IPRO system's Supplier Attachments section or via email to purchasing@adm.idaho.gov no later than the closing date and time specified in IPRO. The specific deliverables, key objectives, required qualifications, and evaluation criteria for the generator maintenance services are contained in the agency's request, which is available in the Buyer Attachment section of IPRO.
The DOP has not disclosed set-aside designations or restrictions limiting the types of organizations eligible to respond to this exemption request process. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or information regarding existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements has been made available in the posted opportunity. Similarly, no award values or budget ranges for the generator maintenance contract have been disclosed in the documentation. The decision to approve or deny the exemption from competition remains entirely discretionary with the DOP Administrator, and suppliers are advised that they have no right to appeal the Administrator's final decision.
