About this opportunity

Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase and delivery of dry ice under a term contract. The procurement seeks firm, fixed pricing for 6,000 pounds of dry ice to be supplied over a 12-month period on an as-needed basis. All dry ice must meet industry and safety standards in compliance with Florida Statutes Chapter 442 and must be accompanied by a Safety Data Sheet. The selected vendor must ensure delivery within two calendar days of receiving a delivery order, ship the dry ice in insulated containers with wheels for easy movement, and replace any unsatisfactory product at no cost to the County. Quotations must be submitted by November 24, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. local time via fax or email to Holly Skeen at the Purchasing Department, with no site visits or bidders' conferences scheduled. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible quoter on an all-or-none basis and shall be issued for twelve months or until the estimated amount is expended, with the successful vendor having the option to renew for four additional twelve-month periods upon mutual written agreement, subject to appropriation of funds and adherence to all original terms and unit prices. Pricing must be quoted as a single, fixed unit price per pound with no escalation clauses, and prices shall remain firm throughout the initial term and any renewal periods.

The County offers preferences for Small/Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (S/M/WBE) certified by Palm Beach County and for vendors with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades. All vendors must register in the County's Vendor Self Service system, comply with commercial non-discrimination requirements, and maintain current business licenses and applicable permits throughout the contract term. No incumbent vendors or existing contractors were identified in the solicitation materials. The anticipated contract value is approximately $6,700 for the 12-month term, though the County reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities and contract value as necessary based on actual operational needs.
