About this opportunity
The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) is requesting bids on an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to supply and deliver OEM diesel particulate filter (DPF) and diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) filter assemblies for its transit bus fleet under IFB #120-2026, with proposals due October 1, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
The scope covers three distinct filter set configurations: Metro #342247 for 1200 series buses (estimated 12 units annually), Metro #342248 for 1300–2200, 2311–2325, and 2401–2412 series buses (estimated 80 units annually), and Metro #342249 for 2301–2310 and 2421–2427 series buses (estimated 10 units annually). Approved filter brands are limited to Cummins, Road Warrior, and Dinex. All shipments are directed to 1401 Bank Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45214, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Core filter returns are the vendor's responsibility at the vendor's expense.
Pricing must be firm-fixed, include labor, materials, freight, and delivery, and remain valid for a minimum of 120 days. All costs must be fully loaded into kit/item prices; freight is not paid separately. Bidders must submit detailed cost breakdowns, insurance certificates (workers' compensation, general liability at $1 million per occurrence, automobile, crime, and professional liability), a notarized Personal Property Tax Affidavit, debarment and suspension certifications, lobbying restrictions certifications, and non-collusion statements.
The contract term is two years. Award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. SORTA reserves the right to award individual items, combinations, or aggregate quantities; increase, decrease, or eliminate purchases based on operational needs, inventory levels, funding, and fleet requirements; and reject any or all bids. No formal small business participation goal has been established, though small and disadvantaged business participation is encouraged where feasible.
A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for September 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams. The question deadline is September 16, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., with responses by September 23 at 2:30 p.m.
