About this opportunity
The State of Maine, Division of Purchases, is requesting bids on ten downdraft tables for the Maine Military Authority's Fiberglass Shop with bids due January 29, 2009. Four units must be delivered within six weeks of award, and six additional units within 120 days of award.
A Maine-manufactured-product preference applies under the State's standard conditions; tie bids are resolved in favor of in-state bidders. The Division of Purchases will make award to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value considerations.
Each downdraft table must measure 6 feet wide by 8 feet long by 36 inches high with a perforated, galvanized steel surface featuring quarter-inch holes. Units must be self-contained with advanced filtration and no outside ventilation requirement. Specification includes a 2 horsepower, three-phase, 60-hertz motor rated for 208, 230, 460, or 575 volts; a seven-cone assembly plug-type fan operating at 1,750 RPM delivering 4,000 cubic feet per minute airflow at 3 inches of water column pressure; two 12-inch by 26-inch pleated cartridge filters with 80/20 flame-retardant cellulose construction providing 397 square feet of filter area with 97.5 percent efficiency at 0.05 microns and 99.5 percent efficiency at 0.08 microns; a water tray; semi-circle metal cartridge baffle deflectors; reverse-pulse compressed air filter cleaning assemblies with automatic activation; and an internal compressed air tank providing 80 to 100 psi. Standard operating temperature is 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Award evaluation factors include 24-hour service availability, bidder-specified warranties, quality, adherence to delivery timeframes, and best overall value to the State. The State will consider equal or greater value in lieu of specified requirements. Sealed bids must be received at 9 State House Station, Room 119, Augusta, Maine prior to the closing deadline. Unit prices must include all applicable discounts and delivery; bids are quoted excluding Federal and Maine sales and use taxes.
