About this opportunity

The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of General Services, Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for dog tags for 2017 under RFQ, with quotations due June 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. local time through the State of Maine's electronic procurement system (Advantage VSS).

The scope is fireplug-shaped dog tags manufactured from .050-inch aqua-colored aluminum, approximately 1 inch in diameter, numbered sequentially from 000001 to 220000. Each tag must be etched with "MAINE," the state shape, and the year 2017. Tags are to be strung on pliable wire, packaged 50 per bag with 50 S hooks per bag in sealed transparent bags marked with serial numbers. Edges must be filed, tumbled, or sanded to prevent sharpness. Delivery is required to the third floor of the Marquardt Building at 32 Blossom Lane, Augusta, Maine, no later than September 16, 2016. Vendors are responsible for breaking down pallets and manually moving materials into the building; elevators are available but entryways do not accommodate pallets.

Pricing must be submitted on a per-bag basis and include all delivery costs under FOB Destination terms. The State is exempt from federal, state, and local taxes and will provide an exemption certificate upon application. Evaluation is on a best value basis, considering conformance to specifications, delivery date, and cost, with award based on the lowest price among compliant bidders. Quotations must remain valid and binding for at least 180 days from bid opening. Bidders must submit a completed Bid Cover Page and Debenture Form certifying eligibility and procurement compliance. Payment is anticipated on net 30 terms upon receipt of accurate invoices.
