About this opportunity
The City of Brunswick is seeking sealed bids for dock repairs at two specific locations: 1200 Glynn Avenue and Liberty Ship Park. This procurement opportunity requires a comprehensive repair project involving all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to restore dock structures. Bidders must be licensed to conduct business in Georgia and carry full insurance to protect the city from potential liabilities. The bid submission deadline is set for June 17, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., with bids to be publicly opened and read aloud at the City of Brunswick Office of Public Works. A mandatory 10% Bid Bond must accompany the bid proposal, and the successful contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each covering 100% of the total contract amount. Prospective bidders can arrange site visits by contacting Tim Nelson at (912) 250-8755 or tnelson@cityofbrunswick-ga.gov prior to submitting sealed bids.
While the contract opportunity documents do not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or preferences for disadvantaged enterprises, all bidders must meet standard licensing and insurance requirements for dock repair work in Georgia. The project appears to be a standard public works contract without specific vendor restrictions beyond professional licensing and bonding capabilities. No incumbent vendors are mentioned in the available documentation. The precise budget range is not specified, but the requirement for performance and payment bonds suggests a significant project scope. Interested contractors should carefully review the attached project documentation (Government File: 250528_Dock Repairs at 1200 Glynn Avenue_.pdf) to understand the full technical specifications and project requirements before submitting a bid.
