About this opportunity

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking bids for temporary dumpster services in the Grand Rapids North area, specifically covering Itasca and Aitkin Counties. The procurement requires a contractor to provide a minimum 6 cubic yard dumpster/container service to load, haul, and dispose of refuse and trash, including deer carcasses, on a weekly basis. The service will be required at one location from September 11, 2024, to January 8, 2025, and at four additional locations from November 6, 2024, to December 6, 2024. All bids must be submitted electronically through the Swift Portal by August 20, 2024, with no email or fax submissions accepted. The evaluation criteria include compliance with specifications, with the contract to be awarded to the lowest responsible vendor meeting all terms and conditions. Contractors needing assistance with registration or submission can contact the Contractor Assistance Help Desk at 651-201-8100, Option 1. The unit price must comprehensively include all associated costs such as labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, and applicable taxes.

The solicitation appears open to all registered bidders and suppliers, with no explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on organizational types mentioned. The DNR reserves the right to award items separately, by grouping, or by total, based on what is most advantageous to the state. While a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, vendors are required to price for the primary dumpster service and provide an additional option for a second dumpster if needed at locations with containers less than 10 cubic yards. Contractors must be prepared to meet the DNR's specific specifications, with the department serving as the final arbiter of vendor qualification. The solicitation includes a Direct Pay Permit 1114 note indicating this does not apply to the project. Interested vendors should carefully review all attachments and comply with all event requirements, understanding that non-compliant responses will be considered non-responsive and rejected.
